THE PLAYGROUND ACTING PROGRAM
The Playground Acting Program offers premium acting classes for students ages 8 and up. The Playground Students' learn acting techniques taught at the top universities for acting while mastering soft skills like public speaking skills, communication skills, and confidence.

REGISTER FOR CLASSES
FALL 2020 AGES 8-12 ACTING CLASS
Through this 8 week program your student will learn acting techniques such as viewpoints, improvisation, and storytelling. Through these techniques we will explore our voices, how our bodies move, and how to collaborate with others. We believe confidence is a muscle and if you work it out you will be strong! The last class ends with a showcase of individual pieces. Friends and family will be encouraged to come and support their actor!
Saturday's at 10:00am -11:30am starting October 10th ending November 28th.

FALL 2020 AGES 13-16 ACTING CLASS
Through this 8 week program students will master acting techniques such as:
Stanslvisky-Based: Objectives, Obstacles, & Tactics (action)
Stanslvisky-Based: Given Circumstances
Memorization Techniques and Methods
Vocal warm up for before performances or presentations
Vocal Viewpoints Techniques adapted for actors by Anne Bogart & Tina Landau.
Uta Hagens: Who am I? Character Work
How to give and receive constructive feedback
Stanslvisky-Based: Emotional Recall
Mindfulness and Mediation Practices
At the end of the 8 weeks students will individually perform a monologue or spoken word in our final showcase. Family and friends will be encouraged to attend in support of their actor.
Dates: Saturday's from 12:00pm-1:30pm starting October 10th- November 28th.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER & TEACHING ARTIST
Ms. Alysia is an actor originally from West Palm Beach, FL. She currently in her last year pursuing her B.F.A in Acting and minor in Arts Entrepreneurship at Southern Methodist University's prestigious Meadows Schools of the Arts in Dallas, TX. Ms. Alysia has over 7 years experience teaching acting to children and young adults ages 3-26 at FUMC Drama Club in Florida, Dallas Theatre Center's Public Works Dallas, G-Star School of the Arts High School and through Private Lessons. Ms. Alysia created The Playground Acting Program in August 2019 with seed money form SMU's Big iDEAS Pitch Competition, Engaged Lerning Fellowship, and Meadows School of the Arts Grant.
