Things To Know
What are Office Hours?
There are no office hours currently.
You may come to The Playground to rehearse, memorize, or film self-tapes during these hours for free during semesters where you are participating in a class at The Playground. You must email theplaygrounddallas@gmail.com ahead of time to let us know who will be coming and what time.
A teaching artsit will be available during these Office Hours to ask questions and to supervise. If you want extra help + direction during this time you may purchase a One-On-One class. If you are rehearsing a scene you may split the cost of the One-On-One class between the two of you.

Saturday and Sunday Security
On Saturdays and Sundays, our building has a security guard on the first floor that you will sign in with. After you sign in with them please take the elevators to the 7th floor. We are located in suite 700.

Notify Us If…
-
You are unable to make it. We will worry about you! If you are unable to make it to class, no problem. We can find a way to ensure you make up for the missed material. Usually we will have you come to the next class 15 minutes before to review what you missed.
-
You will be late. In the professional world it is not only a courtesy to let your Stage Manager or Standhand know that you will be late but it’s mandatory. To get you in the habit of that, give us a quick text or email if you will be more than 5 minutes late.

When are Classes?
Our classes are typically offered in Fall, Winter, and Spring and usually last about 8 weeks. We have a vartiey of MasterClasses throughout the year. During the summer we offer a Summer Camp, Adult Summer Intensives, and MasterClasses. We also have Adult Improv Nights on the first Saturday of every month and Kids Night Out events throughout the year.
Who is the Program Good For?
All levels of experience!

A special note for beginners:

Dear You,
Everyone taking a class, no matter their experience is as nervous and excited as you are. The class is designed for students just like you and our class sizes are typically small too so everyone becomes tight and super supportive. The first step is reaching out, the second is showing up —after that everything is easier! We can't wait to meet you.

Warmly,
The Playground Acting Program
