2024 Adult Summer Intensive

This June The Playground Acting Program will be helping you master acting techniques taught at the top universities for acting in our Summer Intensive.

The techniques taught below range from acting, vocal, movement and scene study techniques. Our program is great for students who want to leave the program feeling empowered with tangible techniques that you can continue to use throughout your life and career as an actor. You will work on one scene throughout the week and in our last class you will peform the scene in our Quarelty Showcase on Saturday, June 8th.

Level One- For students new to The Playground Acting Program or new to taking acting classes.

Level Two- For students who have taken 2 or more acting classes at The Playground or elsewhere in the past 3 years.

The class will be combined however the expectations, who you will be paired with, and the assignments will vary depending on your level. Although Level One will still be challenging and informative, Level Two will have more rigorous expectations. If you need help deciding which level is best for you please email me at theplaygrounddallas@gmail.com and I'd be happy to help place you.

Once you have registered you will be sent a link to our Google Classroom and may begin working on the material needed to be completed before the first day of classes. The assignments consist of reading one article, reading and beginning memorizing the scene we will work on in class, and completing a google form about you. The sooner you sign up the sooner you will have access to those materials to begin working.
