About the Event
Hey friends! Alysia Giakoumas will lead this disscusion group via Zoom. We will begin by checking in to celebrate any new victories or roadblocks you are currently experiencing with your acting journey then we will begin our discussion.
Our topics for this session will include the following subjects:
-Tell us about a director you like. What specfically do you like about them and their style?
-Ask 3-5 of your closest friends or family to describe you. Write down the adjectives. What do these adjectives say about your "type" or the type of characters you may be cast as? Come up with two characters from a TV Show, Film, or Play that you would be cast as based on their observations.
-How far is too far when it comes to depicting violence on screen? How important is it to a story to witness these images? Does it help captivate the audience in a new way allowing us to understand the gravtiy and reality of war, drug use, gang violence, abuse, and genocide? Is it harmful to socitey to consume?
If you'd like to participate we suggest you come prepared with notes on your opinions and evidence to back-up your ideas. You are also more than welcome to listen. I am excited to see everyone and can't wait for our discussion! This event is free, please RSVP. We will send out the zoom link the day of the event.
